2025 headspace Cairns Mental Health Round

AFL Cairns is pleased to announce the continuation of headspace Cairns as a community Partner in 2025 with the 2025 headspace Cairns Mental Health Round (Round 9, June 14).

This year, the headspace Cairns Mental Health Round, Round 9 (June 14) of the AFL Cairns Senior Competition and Round 10 (June 15), of the AFL Cairns Juniors Competition, is set to be bigger and better than ever before. With greater match day activations across the grounds as well as an increased drive in delivering key mental health messages and education to clubs across Junior and Senior competitions in the lead up and during the weekends football action.

AFL Cairns Football Operations Manager Brad Channon said “We are excited to once again be working closely with headspace Cairns and be able to use the vehicle of football to deliver some extremely important messages to our players, coaches, volunteers and broader football community. 2025 has been a devastating year  for the AFL Community and has really shone a light on the need to make meaningful impact and change in this area. We are fully committed to working with headspace Cairns as well as other key stakeholders to ensuring that our community is not only physically well, but also mentally well and equipped with the appropriate resources and tools to ensure that they are able to cope and or seek support during challenging periods.”

Morgan Jackson, headspace Cairns Community Awareness Officer said ““headspace Cairns is excited to continue our support with AFL Cairns in 2025 and their annual Mental Health rounds held in June. We look forward to building this relationship and providing ongoing mental health education and support to AFL Cairns volunteers, their coaches, players, and the broader community. We aim to provide a safe and meaningful connection that will enable those who require mental health support, whether in person or through our headspace platform, to connect with us here at headspace.”
