AFL Cairns is excited to announce a ground-breaking broadcasting partnership with Streamer, the online service owned by Seven West Media, for the exclusive streaming of all of AFL Cairns’ senior games in season 2024. The announcement comes as the league continues its 30-year partnership with Rapid Spin, who produce all AFL Cairns content.
Streamer, the premier destination for community sports in Australia, is set to revolutionize the way fans engage with their favourite sports. From top-tier State-based football leagues to thrilling Australian Baseball League matchups and even the fast-growing sport of Pickleball, Streamer offers a diverse array of sporting content.
One of the key features of Streamer is its emphasis on empowering leagues, clubs, and players. With customisable profiles and tools for audience growth, fundraising, and highlight sharing across social media platforms, Streamer puts control firmly in the hands of those who make community sports great.
Craig Lees, General Manager of AFL Cairns, expressed his excitement about the partnership.
“Streamer has built a strong footprint within community sport over the past three seasons, and we feel their values align perfectly with AFL Cairns’ mission statement to be the leading regional football competition in Australia. We have gained so much momentum with our streaming services after our partnership with Cluch and are excited to work with Seven West Media for the future growth of our league. We look forward to streaming more content in 2024, making our outstanding competitions even more accessible.”
Streamer operations manager Nick Rynne said partnering with AFL Cairns was a perfect fit.
“The team at AFL Cairns has already built an incredible streaming program, and we’re pumped to be able to continue their legacy of innovation and celebrate one of the best local leagues in the country,” he said.
“As a proud Queenslander myself, I can’t wait to get stuck in and showcase just how good this competition is.”
In addition to providing an exceptional viewing experience, the partnerships with Streamer and Rapid Spin will ensure that all streamed games, including Chemist Warehouse Women’s matches, will be accompanied by comprehensive statistics reports and match coding. This valuable data will be made possible through AFL Cairns’ statistics partner, iSports Solutions.
