AFL Cairns and Chemist Warehouse are delighted to announce a multi-year extension of our partnership, which sees Chemist Warehouse continue as the naming partner of our women’s competition and exclusivity on runners shirts and water carrier tops across our competitions.

The Chemist Warehouse brand is part of the My Chemist Retail Group, with the Cairns store being the first store opened outside of Melbourne in 2004. The Chemist Warehouse brand has over 500 stores across Australia and is one of Australia’s Leading Retail Pharmacy Groups.

As a brand, Chemist Warehouse has been a leading supporter of women in sport nationally, and this has greatly supported the growth of women’s football in Cairns.

“Joel [Ng] and the team have been fantastic in helping us to continue to grow women’s football in our region, not only in terms of those playing locally but also our players progressing to the next level” said AFL Cairns Events, Marketing & Communications Manager, Jesse Drever.

“We now have a number of players competing in the AFLW and in state leagues, and the Chemist Warehouse Senior Women’s Competition and our girls’ grades are going from strength-to-strength on and off the field.”
