U17 Cairns Lions Player Letter
Congratulations to the below players on their selection in 2the 2018 U16 and U17 Bendigo Bank Cairns Lions Squads. The Under 16 team will be made up of players born 2002 with AFL Cairns able to select up to 8 players born 2001 as part of the state U17 Talent Pathway. Players selected in the U16 side will travel to Airlie Beach from March 16-18 to compete in the North Queensland Championships.
Players selected in the U17 Cairns Lions will travel to Melbourne from April 5-9 and take on sides from AFL Goldfields and Northern Knights (TAC Cup). Players will also be immersed in various football experiences including AFL Club Visits, AFL Education sessions, Recovery Programs and AFL Matches.
Players selected in either side are required to print off a copy of the trip itinerary and a copy of the medical form. Payment and medical forms for each trip are required the Monday before departing (March 12 – U16 and April 2 – U17)
