2025 AFLW Premiership Match – Cazalys Stadium, Cairns

In 2025, Cazalys Stadium will host the R4 AFLW Premiership Season match between Hawthorn & Euro-Yroke (St Kilda) on Saturday 6 September, proudly as part of Indigenous Round.

 

Match Details – Gates Open at 4:00pm

Round 4 – 7:15pm

  • Curtain Raiser – 4:30pm
    Women’s Qualifying Final: North Cairns Tigers v Centrals Trinity Beach Bulldogs
  • Pre-Game: Official Welcome to Country Ceremony at 7:10pm, featuring Uncle Henry and the Cape York Dance Group.
  • Half-Time: NAB Auskick on-field + Zipporah live performance on the Hill Stage
  • Three-Quarter Time: Nature Valley Goal Kicking Competition
  • Post-Match: Macca’s Kick-to-Kick (approx. 9:06–9:36pm)

Ticketing

Tickets available online at:

  • Match day tickets also available at the Tills Street Box Office.
  • 2 for 1 tickets available
  • All patrons (including juniors) must hold a ticket.
  • No pass-outs permitted.

Junior Policy

  • Children aged 0–17 as at 1 January 2025 – free entry (with valid ticket).
  • Persons aged 18 and over as at 1 January 2025 are classified as adults.
  • Junior & Concession Ticketing Policy applies in line with AFL Venue Entry Policy.

Entry to the Stadium

  • Tills Street Ticket Box – main public entrance.
  • Cazalys Social Club Entrance – strictly for Official Match Day Corporate Function patrons only.
  • Patrons should have tickets ready for scanning (mobile or print-at-home).
  • Bag checks apply – no bags larger than A4 size.
  • No cloaking facilities are available — prohibited items cannot be stored.

Getting to and from Cazalys Stadium

  • Taxis – available from Tills Street (Spotlight end) and Cazalys Social Club taxi ranks post-game.
  • Public Transport – Bus timetables: Cairns Regional Council Public Transport.
  • Parking – There is no public parking at Cazalys Stadium. Patrons are encouraged to use parking options around DFO or Newell Street. Please respect local residents and businesses by not parking across driveways.
  • Traffic Management – Tills Street will be under managed control with a 40km speed restriction in place from 6:00pm. Please follow traffic controllers and signage.

Stadium Conditions of Entry (2025)

  1. Entry & Admission
    • Entry subject to compliance with venue conditions and directions from staff.
    • Management may refuse entry/evict patrons for policy breaches, intoxication, or refusal to undergo security screening.
    • CCTV in use.
    • No unauthorised access to restricted areas or playing field.
    • Drone use prohibited.
  2. Smoking & Vaping
    • Cazalys Stadium is a non-smoking and non-vaping venue.
    • Only permitted in designated outdoor areas near entrances.
  3. Cashless Venue
    • All food and beverage purchases by contactless EFTPOS only.
    • No ATMs or cash-out facilities available.
  4. Patron Conduct
    • Respectful behaviour required at all times.
    • Discriminatory, aggressive, or offensive behaviour will not be tolerated.
  5. Permitted Items
    • Sealed plastic bottled water or empty reusable bottles (refill at stations).
    • Homemade food in non-commercial packaging.
    • Small umbrellas (must remain closed in seating areas).
    • Picnic rugs, cooler bags, or eskies that fit under seats.
  6. Prohibited Items
    • Alcohol, open containers, glass, cans, aerosol cans.
    • Commercial food or drink.
    • Musical instruments, air horns, confetti, flares, fireworks, laser lights.
    • Folding chairs, bulky items, flags with poles >1.6m.
    • Skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, bicycles.
    • Audio/video recording equipment (unless authorised).
    • Offensive, political, or commercial signage/banners.
    • Animals (except accredited assistance animals).
  7. Accessibility
    • Accessible seating and toilets available.
    • Assistance animals welcome in line with legislation.
    • A Sensory Space will be available for patrons requiring a quiet area during the event.

Food & Beverage

  • Food Vans – on Tills street Hill (Snitz & Gigz, Dairy Whipp, Espresso Concepts, BBQ Bros).
  • Canteen – located behind grandstand plaza, Social Coffee Co & Pizza.
  • Bar located behind grandstand
  • Licensed Venue – Alcohol must not be taken into/out of Cazalys Stadium. Fines apply. Excessive consumption will not be tolerated.

First Aid

  • Public First Aid will be available at the AFL Cairns HQ, with roaming Category 5 staff also onsite.
  • Ask security or event staff for assistance if required.
