The women of AFL Cairns will take the spotlight this weekend when two of the three fixtures are played as curtain-closers to the men’s games.
Manunda Hawks’ clash with Cairns Saints at Cazalys Stadium and North Cairns Tigers’ game against Cairns City Lions at Watsons Oval will both be played under lights.

The Saints have lost just one game so far this season but the third-placed Hawks will be out to close the gap to the top two teams.
The Hawks have won two and lost three from their five games so far, and are coming off a 5.5 (35) to 0.0 (0) shutout of Cairns City.
Saints have won three straight, and beat Manunda by just two points when they met in May.
North Cairns smashed the Lions by 73 points when they met earlier this year, but Cairns City is determined to prove that loss was a one-off.
The Lions failed to score a point last week, and will need their big guns to fire if they are to inflict the Tigers’ first loss of the season.
In the other game, the fourth-placed South Cairns Cutters will chase a healthy percentage boost when they host Centrals Trinity Beach Bulldogs at 11am.
