AFL CAIRNS DISABILITY INCLUSION PROGRAM

 AFL Cairns is pleased to announce, the first of it’s kind for the league, a Disability Inclusion Program. Across the 2026 Season, AFL Cairns will host 5 participation activation events at Cazalys Stadium on a Saturday Morning and 5 Club Immersion Days, where participants will engage in modified games during half time of the Senior Men’s Match.

The program is designed to give participants living with an intellectual disability, or whereby a program currently offered is inaccessible, the opportunity to engage in AFL as well as get involved in community football and immerse themselves within our community clubs. The program will encompass a variety of activities to teach the fundamentals of the game through game-based learning, inspiring team work and promote an active and healthy lifestyle through sport.

Club Engagement/Match Day Experience Activations (**dates subject to change):

• July 18^th
• August 1^st
• August 15^th
• August 29^th
• September 19^th (AFL Cairns Grand Final Experience)

This is a free program for 2026. AFL Cairns is currently developing program participation frameworks, all participants that register will receive more information via email.
