Women from Cairns, Mackay and Townsville will have the opportunity to match up against the best of the region in the 2nd Annual North Queensland Championship to be held in Townsville this coming weekend 5th and 6th November.
Cairns players have been selected from the AFL Cairns Women’s league as well as those talented youth girls who recently participated in the State Championships with the Northern Stars.
Players have been put through their paces by Academy coaches Jo Butland and Bev Crimmins.
The NQ Championships will be held at the Hermit Park Tigers home ground, Neil French Oval.
Cairns take on 3rd Brigade Army side first before matching up with Townsville and Mackay to finish the carnival.
